Elena V. (Helen) Benson died on July 22, 2014, after a long illness. Beloved wife of the late Robert E. Cherished mother of Elena Ganzenmuller (Peter), William M.(Sara), David P. (Lorimer Burns). Predeceased by children Christine Pell and Robert E. Jr. Loving grandmother of 10 and great-grandmother of 10. Graduate of Adelphi University. She was an avid Bridge player and enjoyed reading the Bridge columns from many newspapers. Funeral arrangements private.
