Elias Joseph “Al” Stetz, Commander in the U.S. Navy (retired) of Locust Valley, died on July 19, 2014, at age 81. Beloved husband of Nancy Burke Stetz. Loving father of Marion Walsh Esq. (Will) and Susan Trout. Dear brother of Alice Kishanuk, Ed (Freda) and Lori Tewalt (Ron). Proud grandfather of Kate Mullen, M.D. (Dave Gorin Ph.D.), Anna Walsh, William Elias Walsh, Marshall Joseph Trout, Richard Walsh and Nancy Trout. Also survived by many loving relatives. Visitation was at the Funeral Home of Dodge-Thomas Glen Cove. Mass at the Church of St. Patrick. Interment Arlington National Cemetery. Donations may be made to Wounded Warrior Project.org.
