Casimera Gorski, 89, of Sea Cliff, died peacefully on Ash Wednesday, March 5, 2014, in Jacksonville, FL, surrounded by her family. Casimera has joined her loving husband of over 60 years, Peter John Gorski Sr. and her son, Peter J Gorski Jr. in heaven, as well as, her brother John Gains. Casimera is survived by her son Kenneth Gorski, his wife Jane of Jacksonville, FL; and her granddaughter Jama Podell-Vitale, her husband Thomas and her two great-grandchildren, Claudia and Luca. Casimera was an active member of St. Hyacinth Catholic Church on Long Island and was active with the Veterans Association. In addition to being an outstanding cook, she was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, April 10, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Hyacinth R.C.
